First established in1834, Wai`oli Hui`ia is a historic Church property, and a Christ-centered 'ohana, striving to live by faith, be known by love, and a voice of hope in the world. In this vein, all weddings and vow renewals at Wai`oli Hui`ia Church will be Christian in nature.
Wedding and Vow Renewal Fees
The total fee for a Wedding or Vow Renewal at Wai`oli Hui`ia Church is $1500.00. ALL payments can be made here on our website. The fees and payment schedule are broken down as follows:
BREAKDOWN OF FEES:
Church/Sanctuary $800.00
Officiant Honorarium (due 90 days prior) $500.00
Cleaning Fee (due 60 days prior) $200.00
Add Reception on the Lawn (optional) $1000.00

TOTAL FEES (without reception): $1500.00
(with reception) $2500.00

SCHEDULE:
Deposit of $200 due to reserve date/time,Officiant Honorarium of $500.00 due ninety (90) days prior to ceremony Balance of $800 due sixty (60) days prior to ceremony Proof of premarital counseling due sixty (60) days prior to ceremony

NOTE:
In the event that you cancel your ceremony with Wai`oli Hui`ia Church at least sixty (60) days prior to the ceremony, the cleaning fee of $200, if paid, is refundable along with one-half of the Church/Sanctuary fee of $800 ($400), if paid. ALL other payments, including deposit, are non-refundable. All non-refundable monies to remain with Wai`oli Hui`ia Church unless an unforeseen Act of God prevents Wai`oli Hui`ia Church from performing their obligations.​

Terms and Conditions
Wai`oli's Executive Board and Board of Deacons have established the following policies for couples (man and woman) desiring to have their wedding or vows renewed at the Church. If these terms and conditions are accepted, submit your application via the link at the end. Feel free to reach out with questions.

Wai`oli's desire is not only to officiate weddings and vow renewals, but also to establish and affirm Christian homes and families. Therefore, premarital counseling, with a Christian counselor or minister, is required for wedding ceremonies. A letter stating the completion of counseling is to be sent to Wai`oli Hui`ia Church at least sixty (60) days prior to the ceremony.

Ceremonies are officiated by Wai`oli's designated pastors/officiants. If a member of your family is an ordained clergy, they may participate in a portion of the ceremony.

No nails, staples, or tape is allowed on buildings, walls, or pews.

Wai`oli Hui`ia Church does not provide a wedding coordinator.

Vases for floral arrangements must be provided by your florist.

Floral arrangements shall be taken away directly after the wedding ceremony or left for the Church.

Music is not provided by Wai`oli Hui`ia Church.

Church furniture or accessories are not to be moved without prior approval from Wai`oli Hui`ia Church and should be moved back to original location after ceremony.

Pew arrangements/decorations etc. shall be removed after the ceremony.

There is to be no scattering of rice or bird seed either inside the Sanctuary or on the Church premises.

The scattering of flower petals is only permitted outside the Sanctuary.

You may invite the Pastor to your reception to offer a blessing or to attend as a guest. If you do not give him/her a formal or verbal invitation they will not be expected to attend.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Church property.

Alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the Church property.

The Church/Sanctuary is provided in "as is" condition.

Violation(s) of the terms and conditions will result in a penalty fine, compensation for loss, destruction, and/or misconduct, and termination of application, if deemed necessary. This is a 200 year old Sanctuary and a church that glorifies God, we ask for your respect and care to continue to preserve it in such a way. Mahalo nui loa.
Getting Married In Hawaii

Once you have completed Wai`oli Hui`ia's online application and received confirmation for your wedding date, your need to go to the State website and complete the State application for a marriage license. You will receive a "locator number/authorization number." Your online application will be available for the issuance of a marriage license in the State of Hawaiʻi up to one (1) year from the application date.

After you print your receipt for the State application, the receipt needs to be certified prior to the wedding ceremony.
