Mildrene Swan was one of Wai`oli Hui`ia's  esteemed members for many years.

She was incredibly involved with the youth on Kaua`i. In 2022 , Wai`oli created a Fund in her memory, to keep her legacy going and assist the school age youth on the North Shore of Kaua`i that may be facing financial issues with their education and personal necessities,
